The Travis County Constables are requesting continued grant funding from the Texas Council for Developmental Disabilities for the Travis County Community Initiative called Operation Save the Space. This program primarily focuses upon accessibility compliance and disabled parking enforcement. The Disabled Parking Enforcement (DPE) program began in 1995 and is designed to ensure that disabled parking spaces will be available for those who are lawfully entitled to them.
We are looking for some people who are willing to undergo training and assist as Disabled Parking Enforcement volunteers. Could you please help us in our search for these volunteers by helping spread the word?
To be a DPE Volunteer, you must:
Be a U.S. Citizen
Have no felony or Class A misdemeanor convictions
Complete Travis County’s four hour training (we’ll train at our office)
As always, we appreciate your assistance and look forward to working with you in improving our communities!
