1,100 homes in southeast Austin were evacuated from three Onion Creek neighborhoods due to severe flooding. Many residents of Austin, particularly those around Onion Creek and Williamson Creek have been flooded and some are still being rescued by helicopters and search and rescue teams. This is major stuff! To add insult to injury, the rains did not even really help fill our lakes.
