Wildflower Church, a Unitarian Universalist congregation, invites you to its
3rd Annual Dream Sabbath, Dream Scholarship Award, and a community forum on immigration reform.
This year's service will feature messages from the “Dreamers” - those who were brought to the U.S. as children without documentation, and seek to remain, get an education and contribute to the United States. An offering for a Dreamer’s Scholarship will be taken and the winner of the scholarship will be announced during the service. You will hear from some Dreamers and enjoy music from the Travis High School Classical Guitar Ensemble and their Mariachi Band.
After a light lunch a coalition of immigrants rights groups will present a community forum on “Immigration Reform - What Next?”
The service will be held at Wildflower Unitarian-Universalist Church, on the Faith Presbyterian Campus: 1314 E. Oltorf, right across the street from Travis High School, on April 13, 2014, at 11:30 a.m. Childcare will be provided for both services, and Spanish language interpretation will be provided at the forum. Please join us, and RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org.
