Public hearings, online forum offer chance to give feedback. Over the next few weeks, various meetings will take place to garner public comments on the suggested approaches to revising the land development code.
On Sept. 22, the Code Advisory Group (CAG) will hear a presentation on the Approach Alternatives, starting at 4 pm at the Ruiz Branch Library (1600 Grove Blvd.). The CAG will then hold an Oct. 6 special meeting to hear public comments. That meeting will take place 6 pm to 8 pm at the Milwood Branch Library (12500 Amherst Drive).
Public hearings on the approaches will also be conducted by the Planning Commission on Sept. 23 (6 pm, 505 Barton Springs Road - Room 325), and the City Council on Oct. 23. Once a decision on an approach is made by City Council, drafting of the new code can begin.
