Dave Sullivan, Chair, Brian Reis, Vice Chair, Mandy De Mayo, Stephen Delgado, Jim Duncan, Jackie Goodman, Will Herring, Jeff Jack, Sarah Linares, Melissa Neslund, Stephen Oliver, Beverly Silas, Kevin Wier, and Nuria Zaragoza, Code Advisory Group,
The Code Advisory Group (CAG) apparently did not allow public review of or input on the criteria for the focus areas for the code workshop before they were approved at the CAG meeting on July 7, 2015. The code workshop will provide selected areas of the City with an opportunity to “test drive” the draft land development code. Given the strategic importance of the workshop, please allow and consider public input on the criteria and workshop at the next CAG meeting in August 2015.
Please change the protocol of future CAG meetings so that public input is allowed on agenda items before the CAG votes on those items. Other City task forces, advisory groups, boards, and commissions allow public input on agenda items before a vote is taken on those items. CAG decisions will be better informed by allowing public input on agenda items before the CAG votes on them.
Please consider the following comments, concerns and questions regarding the criteria for the focus areas and the code workshop scheduled for November 2015. The comments, concerns and questions are included in the attached PDF for your convenience.
