"We could use some improvements to Walnut Creek Park and/or our favorite libraries. We could win an improvement project from the City to a park or library just by recycling more," wrote one of the Love North Austin blog's readers to invite all of us to participate in the Austin Recycling Games, "a recycling competition among the 10 City Council Districts" based on "the pounds of recyclables collected per household in each district for the months of December 2015 through March 2016."
"If you have a blue City of Austin recycling cart you’re already competing," informs the City. "Stop trashing so many recyclables; let’s toss them all “IN THE BIN FOR THE WIN!" "The winning districts will receive a beautification project for a library or public park and will be announced at the Earth Day event on April 23, 2016."
"Let's get some signs up in the hood to encourage others to recycle more every day," suggested our reader. What will you do to make our northern Districts win?
