This came from Anderson Mill. Remember - criminals are mobile and everybody needs to keep their garage door closed and be on the look out for black trucks:
I got the below from a neighbor. The neighborhood is not Anderson Mill, but it looks like the neighborhood is the one north of us, in Cedar Park.
This is just one of the many reports our neighborhood is receiving about a black pick-up and garages robberies. Pretty scary. This has been going on for a couple of weeks, lots of reports of that truck checking out the garages!!!
"Burglaries on Richlieu and Brandwine": A white male ( description to follow) was interrupted by a Brandywine neighbor (with 3 kids in tow) exiting his garage with an armful of his power tools ... As he took his tool back and put the kids in the house out of harms way, the robber left ... The neighbor was unable to find him after he left and did not make a call to police. That same day, $820 worth of power tools were stolen from my garage on Richelieu ... I was working in the garage and went into the house periodically to answer the phone, drink water, etc
... Presumably that's when the theft occurred. Initially, I did not notify the police because I had no information to provide. Then, I heard about the Brandywine incident ... He had a good description of the suspect: white male ... 5' 7" ... 170lbs ... Mid 20's ... Short, light brn hair ... Plaid Bermuda shorts ... Driving a black, mid 90's F-150 Ford truck with over-sized tires.
I called 311 and APD came to the house, took a report and told me several similar events had been reported in the neighborhood that day.
Just today the Brandywine neighbor encountered that same truck "cruising" a neighborhood off El Salado north of 620 ... He followed, was detected and failed to get a license # as the truck fled, eluding him.
