As Central Texas faces one of the fastest growing senior populations in the nation, Family Eldercare is poised to help shape our community response through both service delivery and thought leadership on the issue of aging. In order to serve a growing senior population (and their caregivers), we must increase knowledge and essential skills for both professionals and laypeople on a wide variety of aging issues. Recognizing that need, Family Eldercare created the Institute on Aging earlier this year.
This innovative series of workshops, trainings and lectures will cover a range of topics from practical to inspirational. Our goal is to not only provide vital skills and training, but also insight into the groundbreaking work happening around the issues of aging and independence around the world.
The Institute is open to the community; including professionals working with seniors and adults with disabilities in a variety of settings (CEU’s available).
