What: Good health begins at home, in our neighborhoods, at our schools and work places. Regardless of background, education or income, everyone should have the chance to make choices that lead to a long and healthy life. That’s why efforts are underway to decrease obesity, increase access to healthy foods, improve city transportation and access to primary care and to mental and behavioral healthcare. To accomplish that, the public is invited to attend the Community Health Assessment (CHA) and Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) forum.
When: Tuesday, March 31, 2015
Where: Austin City Hall (Boards and Commissions Room)
301 W. 2nd Street
Why: To build on the initial comprehensive community health planning effort to measurably improve the health of Austin/Travis County residents.
Who: Partners hosting the forum include: Austin/Travis County Health and Human Services, Travis County Health and Human Services and Veteran’s Services, Central Health, St. David’s Foundation, Seton Healthcare Family, Austin/Travis County Integral Health Care, University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Public Health Austin Regional Campus and Capital Metro.
Come for an evening of community engagement and light snacks.
