FYI - The issues that the Chief is addressing is one Love North Austin has raised for years.
Region II is not only 87 square miles, but many of the roads in the Adam sector are not connected. Region II already requires more man hours to police because of these fact, and then the problem is compounded by sending officers downtown to book people (especially when events are clogging the roads). A booking facility at the north end of town would pay for itself, just in the man hours it would save.
